Pay More Now, But Way Less Later
Sometimes you can pay more now for something, and make up the expense in savings over the long haul. Sometimes this reasoning is used for things like switching to alternative energy sources like solar water/electricity for a house or getting a hybrid car. While this is a smaller every day item you may be able to save a lot of money down the road by buying a coffee roaster. Then you can enjoy gourmet beans at half the price of store bought from that time on - and it’ll taste much better. You can buy green beans in bulk at sites like Sweet Maria’s where they have them reviewed and yet the price is good!
Yes, you could save more by going without, or by buying a very cheap blend from a club store, but if you’re a coffee snob and there’s no going to the cheap stuff, this is cheaper, plus by giving yourself a small inexpensive treat like this you’ll be less inclined to go out spending on other treats in a binge/purge cycle. What sorts of things do you find yourself treating yourself to to help keep the budget on focus but also not letting yourself feel neglected?
