Get Paid to Shop

My wife is often paid to shop. I know this sounds like some scheme and there’s probably some hoops you have to jump through, but the truth is that with minimal effort she has been paid money by companies to buy products and participate in services. My wife has a very inexpensive membership to a website called Refund Cents. We subscribe to the local newspaper for weekends only at a low price and get the coupons from the Sunday paper. She scours the coupons for money saving deals, clips them and saves them away into an organized coupon filer. We don’t pay for toothbrushes or shampoo simply because she’s gotten so many deals at Walgreen’s that have involved them giving us money back after buying large quantities of the items. Well, buying seems like the wrong word. I should say that she’s collected for scanning the items so that the store can keep track of how many bottles they’re giving away through discounts, doubled coupons and gift cards.

My bride also participates in mystery shopping. Mystery shopping is a service that many companies, restaurants and services pay for. They want anonymous guests to come into a location and interact with employees to determine the quality of the services being offered. We have been to the Cheesecake Factory for a reduced price (they refund us a set amount of money and anything over that we pay) - we had an appetizer, two entrées, drinks and a dessert for around $20.00.  If you’ve ever been to the Cheesecake Factory you’ll know that’s a deal!  Another cool thing about being a mystery shopper is that the companies tell you what you need to look for so that you can fill out a survey later on that lets them know if anything is missing in the level of service they expect their employees to offer.  When you find a company that has high standards and a location that offers those services at the expected standards it really makes for an amazing contrast when you go somewhere else.

Do you get paid to shop?  What if you could save large sums of money on staple items instead of just giving away nickels & dimes over time?  Check these options out because they could save you huge amounts of money when you check out at the store!
