We don’t do much living in our living room. It gets some action, usually when we have company, but for the most part it stays mellow. For all I know that’s the way the living room likes it. We have blinds on the windows, curtains that can go over the blinds, a magnetically sealed front door, two lamps (that can’t take CFL bulbs for two different reasons), a piano, couch and two rocking chairs. This room is baffling for me, I can’t think of a way for us to fix the room up to be more efficient. Heck, the window is a double paned window with argon.

I hope that every reader has a room or more like this. I can honestly say that I don’t know of any improvements I can make in this room for energy efficiency other than changing lamps to CFL friendly lamps.
