Cash-Flow Neutral & Skip the Remodel
This is just a short two bit post:
1) This blog is hosted at a for-money host (bluehost.com) but through Google Adsense I have been able to generate enough revenue between this web property and another one I have to cover all hosting costs for the year. That makes this blog a non-liability. Its not creating huge cash-flow (which I think is fine and probably good in the end), but the upside is that its not taxing my budget for unexpected financial output. If you’ve got your own blog you might consider what your total costs are for running it.
We repainted two rooms in our house this weekend. We did one of them in a ‘different’ way because I came up with a visual approach that would let our small upstairs bathroom feel bigger, and boy does it! Instead of knocking walls out or various other remodeling strategies we painted the wall differently: We extended the white that is normally just for the ceiling down about 14 inches and then switched to our other main color. At the joint we painted in a 2.5″ stripe that creates a strong visual divide than the actual joint where the walls and ceiling meet. This gives the room the visual illusion that it is taller. Skip the remodeling job and think outside the box!
