Many of my allergies are due to the fact that my cat sleeps on my pillow after rolling in the dirt outside. I don't like it when she does that, but sometimes I am so asleep that I don't realize it. One of the things that I do to ward off allergies with my golden retriever and cat coming in covered in one sort of allergen or another is I actually spray them with anti-allergen Febreze. I don't know if this is safe and the cat really hates it, but niether of my pets have become sick from it (yet, knock on wood). I find that many insurance companies don't want to pay for allergy medicine since claritin and other brands have gone OTC. I wonder if an air purifier would help the allergen situation and possibly save money for us in the long run as I pay for allergy medicine for 3 of our 4 members of the family.
