The Big Picture
Since this blog is detailing my financial goals, my retirement progress and things I’m learning I suppose its important for me to share the big picture with you! In short I’m tackling some debt privately, but revealing my current status in regards to retirement. My goal for retirement is a whopping 6.5 million dollars. Yes, that’s a ton of money but apparently, according to some calculators online, that’s what I need to have set aside by the time I’m 70. I’m nearly thirty at the time of this writing so I figure I have forty years to invest, earn, save and learn my way to my goal. The thermometer to the side is setting my shorter term goal of $100,000.00.
I’ll update the thermometer over time to make sure that it shows where I am and what I have left to reach my goal. Every time you click an ad, buy something from Amazon.com or link to this blog you’re helping contribute to that goal. Thanks for taking an interest in this crazy web project!
